Towpath first opened its shutters 10 years ago on the Regent’s Canal in Hackney. It closes for winter, doesn’t offer takeaway coffee (in the hope that people will stay to watch the coots), and doesn’t have a phone or website.
One of our favourite haunts is the lovely Towpath Cafe, whether its for breakfast, lunch or dinner, Lori & Laura at Towpath are a magical team with the ability and flair to know what is right, beautiful and tasty. Sit down order a delicious repast and watch the coots as London bustles past.
