Description
Vintage school bench from Bergerac, France. Probably 1930s/1940s.
This characterful school bench has a seat made of three lengths of solid mahogany, supported by bent, tubular steel legs. The wood was painted when new, but has now worn away to reveal the grain underneath. The benches feature their original bolts.
This bench would sit excellently in a garden, hallway or kitchen and suits a variety of interiors including, early and mid-twentieth century, rustic, industrial, and bohemian design schemes.
